Dog Bather / Grooming Assistant - Part Time Mt. Sinai, NY $18.50/hour 3 days per week with opportunities for additional hours Saturdays are required East End Pet Spa is a brand-new dog grooming salon opening in Mt. Sinai , and we're looking for a dependable, hardworking animal lover to join our team as a Dog Bather / Grooming Assistant . This is a hands-on position working with dogs of all breeds and sizes. Professional grooming experience is not required — we are willing to train the right person! This is also a great opportunity for someone who is interested in the grooming industry, as there will be opportunities to learn grooming skills and grow with the salon.

Responsibilities may include:

Bathing and drying dogs Brushing and prepping dogs for grooming Assisting groomers as needed Cleaning and maintaining bathing, grooming, and common areas General salon upkeep Safely handling dogs of all sizes Providing friendly customer service Our ideal candidate is: Calm, patient, and comfortable around dogs Dependable and hardworking Able to safely work with small, medium, and large dogs Physically capable of standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and working on their feet throughout the day Friendly and professional with clients Able to work Saturdays Has reliable transportation Previous dog grooming, bathing, kennel, veterinary, daycare, or other animal care experience is a plus, but not required. We're looking for someone who wants to become part of a growing salon and learn along the way. For the right person, there is potential for additional hours and hands-on grooming education.

$18.50/hour
