Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of each pet's coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle pets safely and comfortably during grooming sessions, ensuring their well-being throughout the process. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming requirements. Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services. Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or concerns during grooming sessions. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive environment for both pets and clients. Experience The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following skills: Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as dog training or veterinary care. Familiarity with animal handling techniques, including animal restraint and care practices. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment. Previous kennel experience is beneficial in understanding animal behavior and care needs.
