Job Summary Join our vibrant pet care team as a Part-time Dog Daycare Attendant and Canine Coach, where your energy and passion for animals will help create a safe, fun, and enriching environment for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising daily activities, providing engaging play sessions, and ensuring the well-being of every furry guest. Your dedication will foster positive behaviors, promote socialization, and support pet owners by delivering exceptional care in a lively, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Monitor and oversee dogs during playtime, ensuring safe interactions and appropriate behavior. Assist in dog training exercises to reinforce commands, social skills, and good manners. Handle animal restraint and manage dog handling activities with patience and confidence. Maintain cleanliness of the facility by cleaning kennels, play areas, grooming stations, and sanitizing all equipment regularly. Support pet boarding services by feeding, administering medications if needed, and providing companionship. Educate pet owners on dog behavior, training tips, and best practices for at-home care. Assist with outdoor activities and enrichment. Requirements Must have experience in a dog daycare setting/animal shelter, pet sitting, dog training, kennel work or animal handling is also preferred. Ability to assist with large dogs. Strong knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff alike. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and visitors. Experience with pet grooming/bathing, nail trims and animal restraint, sanitation procedures for pet care facilities, and outdoor work is a plus. Demonstrated commitment to animal care through previous roles such as veterinary assistant or previous pet care technician.
