Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Weekend Kennel Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional care and comfort to our furry residents! As a Weekend Kennel Technician, you'll ensure our pets are safe, clean, and happy while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for pet owners. Your dedication will help create a positive experience for every pet and their family, making a real difference in their lives. Responsibilities Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, medicating, and monitoring animals throughout the weekend shifts Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas to promote health and hygiene standards Handle animals gently and confidently, utilizing animal restraint techniques when necessary Observe pet behavior closely to identify any signs of distress or illness and report concerns promptly Assist with pet boarding procedures, including check-in/check-out processes and record keeping Support outdoor activities such as walks to ensure pets receive adequate exercise Uphold safety protocols through proper animal handling, team lifting techniques, and sanitation practices Requirements Prior veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is preferred Experience with pet sitting, dog training, or kennel work is preferred Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal behavior and restraint methods Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Knowledge of sanitation procedures, and facility cleaning standards Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail Join us in creating a safe, clean, and loving environment for every pet that walks through our doors! Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
