In this energetic role, you'll provide professional grooming services that enhance each dog's comfort and appearance while ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Your expertise in animal handling, grooming techniques, and customer communication will be essential in delivering top-quality pet care in a lively, supportive environment. You will have your own grooming space aside from the Daycare aspect of things. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling to meet breed standards and owner preferences Handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with care, patience, and confidence, ensuring their safety through proper animal restraint techniques Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, coat styling, and other grooming procedures with precision and attention to detail Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming requests and provide advice on pet coat maintenance and overall care Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitation of tools and work areas to uphold health standards Assist with pet handling during grooming appointments, ensuring animals are comfortable and stress-free throughout the process Support additional pet care activities such as pet sitting or basic veterinary assistance when needed, demonstrating versatility in animal handling skills Experience Prior experience in dog grooming or pet styling is required ; certification from a recognized grooming program is a plus 3+ Years of dog grooming is needed Experience with animal handling across various species including dogs, cats, or equines enhances your ability to manage diverse animals confidently Familiarity with pet coat styling techniques, pet nail trimming, animal restraint methods, and animal care best practices is essential Strong communication skills for engaging with pet owners about grooming needs and providing exceptional customer service Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger dogs or equipment safely and efficiently Join us if you're passionate about animal care and eager to make a positive difference in the lives of pets and their owners!
