Safely and compassionately handle pets of varying sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet throughout the grooming process. Communicate professionally with pet owners regarding grooming needs and recommendations. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized grooming environment. Uphold Camp 4 Paws' high standards of pet care and customer service. Qualifications Professional dog grooming experience required - minimum of 5 years. Cat grooming experience preferred. Strong animal handling skills. Positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills. Dependable, professional, and team-oriented. Compassionate, confident, and calm around dogs of all breeds. •Additional Responsibilities & Requirements Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing to meet each pet's specific needs and breed standards. Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures. Assess each dog's coat condition and skin health, providing recommendations for ongoing care or medical attention when necessary. Maintain a clean, organized grooming area by sanitizing tools and workspaces regularly. Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, aftercare instructions, and any health concerns observed during the appointment. Support team members with kennel cleaning, animal handling, and other animal care duties as needed. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of different coat types and breed standards - minimum of 5 yewars. Knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safety for both pets and staff. Familiarity with pet care practices including pet boarding and daycare. Ability to lift heavy objects, pets, and supplies. Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Physical stamina for standing long hours, lifting heavy objects or animals, and performing repetitive tasks.
