Overview Join our dynamic pet care team as a Kennel Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care in a lively, supportive environment! In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable space for our furry residents while delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners. Your energetic approach will ensure animals receive attentive care, proper handling, and a positive experience during their stay. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals, develop your skills in animal handling and pet care, and contribute to a compassionate team dedicated to animal well-being. Duties Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, exercise, and administering medications as directed Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through thorough sanitization and grooming practices Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and ensure their comfort during interactions Monitor animals' health and behavior, reporting any concerns supervisors promptly Assist with pet boarding services by coordinating check-ins and check-outs with pet owners Support outdoor activities such as walking dogs or supervising playtime to promote physical activity and mental stimulation Uphold facility sanitation standards by cleaning equipment, bedding, and communal spaces regularly Engage with pet owners in a professional manner Bathing dogs as needed Experience Previous experience or background as a kennel technician Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal handling Familiarity with kennel operations, pet grooming, and animal restraint techniques Demonstrated ability to lift heavy objects safely (team lifting when necessary) and perform outdoor work comfortably Knowledge of animal behavior helps in understanding individual animals' needs and ensuring their safety Hands-on experience with animal care facility sanitization ensures compliance with health standards Hours vary — mornings and evening hours available Week days and weekends This role is perfect for passionate animal lovers eager to make a difference in pets' lives while building valuable skills in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
