Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling to meet each pet's specific needs and breed standards Handle dogs with care and confidence, ensuring safe animal restraint and gentle handling throughout all grooming procedures Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide recommendations for pet coat styling and maintenance Assist with pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other routine animal care tasks to promote overall health and comfort Manage animal restraint techniques skillfully to ensure safety for both pets and staff during grooming sessions Support kennel cleaning, pet sitting, and heavy lifting duties as needed to maintain a safe and welcoming environment Qualifications Bilingual Spanish/ English Musts be able to do al least 5 dogs a day Good level of grooming with at least 4 years of experience Proven experience in dog grooming, pet coat styling, or related animal care roles such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience Strong dog handling skills with the ability to work confidently with animals of various temperaments and sizes Knowledge of animal handling techniques including animal restraint and pet nail trimming Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners about grooming needs and animal care advice Familiarity with kennel operations, pet sitting, heavy lifting, and general animal care procedures Background in veterinary or veterinary technician experience is a plus but not required; a passion for animals is essential Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, lifting heavy objects safely, and performing detailed grooming work.
