PET CARE HANDLER

This position includes daily, direct care for shelter pets, both one on one, as well as group management. Candidates who thrive in this position are happy to spend the day without much human interaction, but must work well with team members, as well as pets. Tasks include all day monitoring and cleaning of pets, laundry, facility cleaning both inside and outside in all types of weather, as well as learning Fear Free pet handling techniques, and providing custom enrichment for pets. Opportunity to advance to one-on-one care for pets. Will be trained for teaching pets skills for positive transition into a home. Paid holidays and paid time off.

Skills:

Basic knowledge of common software - Word, Excel Basic computer data entry skills Basic internet / browser / email skills Ability to lift 40# Ability to bend, kneel, throughout each work day
