Dog Resort is seeking compassionate and reliable Canine Care Technicians to join our team. We are a luxury dog resort providing high-quality boarding, daycare, and grooming services for dogs of all sizes. Our canine guests play and socialize in an dog park environment. Our team is committed to maintaining the highest standards for every canine guest's comfort, health, safety, and happiness. This is an active, hands-on position involving dog supervision, feeding, cleaning, and individualized care. Applicants should be comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Minimum Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Must have reliable transportation Must be available to work weekends and holidays Must be able to work any assigned shift between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. A history of excellent attendance, punctuality, reliability, and work ethic Must be able to work any assigned shift between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. What We're Looking For A genuine love of and respect for dogs of all breeds and sizes Empathy, patience, enthusiasm, and calm confidence A friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude Strong attention to detail Good communication and teamwork skills A willingness to assist coworkers and contribute wherever needed The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing safety or accuracy The ability to follow detailed—and sometimes complex—care instructions for individual canine guests The ability to accept direction, retain training, and complete responsibilities independently A safety-conscious mindset A willingness to learn canine behavior, body language, calm handling techniques, and signs of potential health concerns Primary Responsibilities Protect the safety, health, comfort, and happiness of every canine guest Help minimize stress and create a positive experience for dogs in our care Supervise groups of dogs of different breeds, sizes, personalities, and play styles Closely monitor indoor and outdoor play for signs of stress, illness, unsafe behavior, or potential conflict Redirect inappropriate behavior and provide rest breaks when needed Learn each guest's personality, play style, preferences, and care needs Provide reassurance and comfort to dogs that may be anxious or unaccustomed to being away from home Treat every canine guest with patience, kindness, and respect Prepare and serve meals according to individual instructions Ensure guests have access to clean, fresh water Clean and sanitize suites, indoor play areas, outdoor yards, and other areas of the facility Complete laundry, wash dishes, vacuum, mop, remove waste, and perform other routine cleaning duties Maintain an organized, clean, and safe environment Complete other duties as assigned Important Information About This Position Working with dogs is rewarding, but it is also physically demanding and involves significant cleaning. Successful Canine Care Technicians understand that excellent animal care includes maintaining sanitary spaces, following detailed instructions, supervising dogs attentively, and consistently showing up on time. A history of excellent attendance, punctuality, reliability, and work ethic At least one year of full-time experience in a service-oriented position is preferred, including animal care, healthcare, hospitality, childcare, or professional cleaning Students studying animal care, veterinary medicine, or related field are encouraged to apply Must be able to safely lift at least 50 pounds to waist height Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift and regularly bend, reach, and perform physical tasks Must be comfortable working outdoors and around dog hair, cleaning products, noise, odors, and varying weather conditions
