Job Description

Our mission at Play Dog Play is to provide dogs a structured and supportive environment that successfully caters to every dog in our care. We are able to provide a space where dogs are able to practice safe socialization and recognize that every dog's needs varies. Dog Handling Responsibilities Support groups of 20-25 dogs in our high-volume daycare and boarding facility on Pine Street in Burlington Feed and medicate canine clients Basic grooming services (baths, nail trims, and ear cleanings) Facility cleaning tasks (done on daily, weekly, and monthly basis) Customer Service Responsibilities Answering phones and emails for day-of reservations Intaking dogs in the morning for daycare Intaking dogs for boarding with accurate feeding/medication instructions Sending dogs home to their owners at conclusion of their reservation. When bringing dog back to owner, providing in-depth report on the dog's time -- our owners love hearing about their day!
Requirements:
Experience handling dogs or other animals is a huge plus but not required. Vet techs, Kennel Staff, Groomers, Training Assistants encouraged to apply! Ability to interact professionally with dogs, staff, and owners. Daycare attendants interact with both canine and human clients on a daily basis. Ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. Think about working at an elementary school - every day is a different day when working with living beings! Ability to be physically active and work on feet for an 8-hour shift. Willing to get hands dirty is required (we're working with dogs after all!) Holiday shift availability for boarder care. Our facilities are closed for daycare on New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
