The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and grooming, with a focus on providing a safe, comfortable, and FUN grooming services for dogs. This role involves performing nail trimming, animal handling, and delivering grooming experiences catered to each individual dog on each individual day. Our pets and employee care is top priority. We never "push through" grooms. We go at the dogs pace and create a better experience with trust, love, and some treats! This position also offers opportunities to participate in community events such as nail trim days at brewery gatherings, doggie daycare grooming days, and festivals . Candidates should be comfortable traveling to different locations within a designated area, with a focus on efficiency and safety. We operate in a shuttle bus which is about 15ft long so driving skills are as high of a priority as grooming skills. For safety reasons we avoid driving in almost all bad weather, do not require any night driving, and typically travel to one area for the day and work on multiple dogs, but sometimes you will need to travel up to three homes in one day. Appointments will be scheduled for you at the amount you think you can handle.

Duties Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to client specifications Conduct pet nail trimming with precision and care, especially during frequent nail trim events Handle animals gently and confidently to ensure their comfort and safety during grooming procedures - we are a fear free certified pet grooming business Travel to various locations within a designated area, typically visiting one area per day and servicing multiple dogs at each site Participate in community events such as brewery gatherings and doggie daycare days to promote services and engage with pet owners Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work environment in between grooms to ensure hygiene standards are met. With a final clean at the end of the day Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions Skills Proven experience as a Dog Groomer with a strong portfolio of recent work (photos preferred) Submit photos of recent grooms, certification copies, and references as part of the application process Certification in dog grooming or related animal care fields is required or reference from a salon apprenticeship Exceptional animal handling skills with patience and compassion for dogs of all temperaments Expertise in pet nail trimming is highly important due to frequent participation in nail trim events Ability to work independently while managing multiple appointments efficiently Good driving record and willingness to travel within specific areas Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members Attention to detail in grooming techniques and maintaining high standards of hygiene This position can be part time or full time and offers an engaging environment where you can showcase your grooming talents while participating in community activities that celebrate our love for dogs.

Pay:

From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
