Unleashed Dog Daycare is looking for a Dog Handler! We are a positive reinforcement daycare and are looking for a Dog Handler with an energetic, positive, and outgoing personality to play with our pups. A strong knowledge of dog behavior is a must as you will be working with a large group of dogs in an off-leash setting. Playing and dog handling is the most important part of the job, but cleaning, and of course

• poop scooping
• is a big part as well.

The shift we are currently hiring for is a part-time/relief position: We are looking for someone who is available to work a permanent Friday schedule (a 7-8 hour shift that will vary between the hours of 6:15am and 7pm). In addition to Fridays, this position will cover relief hours as well. A relief position requires someone with a flexible schedule, that can be trained to perform on-call work. A Relief Handler will pick up shifts when other staff members need to take time off for vacation or need sick leave. This position may potentially turn into a permanent part time position if one opens up. Requirements for

Dog Handler Job:

• Applicants must have experience handling dogs and have basic dog knowledge. Ideally, prior working experience in the industry would be great, but if there is no previous working experience, the applicant must be willing and excited to learn.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Must have great customer service and social skills.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to do heavy lifting and manual labor.
• Must be willing to work outside in the elements for entire shifts and have the proper clothing and shoes to do so (rain boots, rain coat, warm clothes, sunscreen, hats, hoods, etc.)
• Must have reliable transportation, preferably own vehicle as the hours aren't ideal for bus transportation.
• Must be able to fulfill a minimum 1 year commitment, preferably longer.
