Job Description

Central Bark Franklin is looking for an experienced, full-time Dog Groomer to join our established Doggy Daycare & Grooming Salon. 50% commission + tips | $40,000-$80,000+ potential annual earnings based on experience and grooming volume We have an established clientele and a steady flow of both in-house daycare clients and outside grooming clients , giving the right groomer an opportunity to build a strong book of business. This is an ideal opportunity for a groomer who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their grooming skills, and wants the ability to directly impact their earnings through commission. Choice of:
Tuesday-Friday, 10-hour days, or Monday-Friday, 8-hour days PTO after 1 year Supplemental insurances 401(k) Employee discount Paid training Cage dryers and select grooming products provided You maintain and provide your own primary grooming tools/equipment Opportunity to promote and grow your grooming clientele What You'll Do Approximately 80% of your time will be spent actively grooming, including: Bathing and drying Brushing and de-shedding Breed-specific haircuts Scissoring Clipping and shaving Nail trims Ear cleaning Anal gland expression Maintaining grooming records Discussing grooming requests and recommendations with pet parents Scheduling grooming appointments Checking dogs in and out Promoting grooming services to Central Bark clients Maintaining a clean and organized grooming area Completing grooming-related laundry and cleaning You will work with both Central Bark daycare/boarding clients and outside grooming clients , including occasional quick services such as baths and nail trims. We're Looking For Our ideal candidate has: At least 1 year of professional full-body dog grooming experience Strong scissoring and grooming techniques Experience bathing, drying and handling a variety of breeds and coat types Knowledge of breed-specific grooming styles Patience and confidence handling dogs Strong attention to detail Creativity and pride in their work Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to understand and execute individual grooming requests Ability to work independently and manage their grooming schedule Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods Hiring Process Before an offer is made, candidates will be required to complete: Working interview Grooming photo portfolio Background check Reference check Physical Requirements This position requires prolonged standing and repeated grasping, pinching, pulling and other motions associated with grooming dogs. The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds is required. Groomers must maintain a current tetanus vaccination.
