Hooman for Hire is hiring Pet Enrichment Specialists in Anchorage and Eagle River. We're an established local pet care company, offering services 7 days a week between 6am-10pm, and we're growing! This field-based role covers dog walking, small-group adventures, in-home pet visits, and occasional in-person events. You'll be trained in enrichment-based care, going beyond a basic walk or visit to work with each pet's individual needs. You'll build real relationships with clients and their pets, work alongside a team that has your back, and get paid for unique skills that make a big difference. Our team navigates their days completing services both independently and alongside other team members as scheduled. Staff are responsible for managing their time and navigating routes efficiently, transporting pets to/from specified locations for activities, and engaging in enrichment activities with all pets we care for. We don't just show up - we go above and beyond in every interaction. Every new hire goes through hands-on onboarding and training, no matter your experience level coming in. What you'll need 18+, with professional-level pet care experience or a background in fast-paced customer service (medical and busy professional office experience can qualify) At least 1 year in related environment or education A clean background check and driving record, valid in all 50 states A reliable vehicle that can handle Anchorage and Eagle River winters and terrain and safely transport pets Comfortable working with a range of species, breeds, ages, and temperaments Able to walk at a brisk pace for up to 1 hour at a time, bend frequently, confidently handle multiple dogs A positive attitude, desire to learn, natural adoration for animals, ability to handle varying levels of stress, and attention to detail Weekend and Holiday availability Schedule Mornings require availability between 6am-2pm Evenings require availability between 2pm-10pm To apply, please send your resume and include your availability.
