Venice/Marina Del Rey About the Role We provide a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for adoptable cats. Our mission is grounded in animal welfare and community connection. We're currently expanding our hours of care and seeking an overnight team member to help keep our facility safe, clean, and ready for visitors each day. This is a great opportunity for college students who are night owls, have flexible schedules, or are looking for a calm, independent shift with purpose.   • Strong personal responsibility and follow-through
  • Comfort working independently overnight without direct supervision
  • Attention to detail in cleaning, prepping, and documenting tasks
  • Clear, calm communication in unexpected or emergency situations
  • Good judgment when observing animal behavior or safety concerns
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, squat Core Responsibilities Safety & Security
  • Be the on-site overnight presence for safety and emergency readiness
  • Perform hourly walkthroughs to ensure all cats are secure and comfortable
  • Monitor for any unusual activity and follow emergency procedures if needed Cleaning & Facility Prep
  • Assist with end-of-day tasks: litter boxes, dishes, laundry, and floors
  • Restock supplies and help prep the space for the morning team
  • Ensure the environment is clean, odor-free, and guest-ready Animal Care
  • Observe cat behavior and flag any health concerns
  • Refill water and check litter box access overnight
  • Offer calm companionship without overstimulating the cats Who We're Looking For
  • Responsible and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working independently overnight
  • Calm under pressure with strong communication skills
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, squat, and be on your feet as needed
  • Must be 18 or older Bonus if you have:
  • Experience with cats or animal care
  • CPR or first aid certification
  • Janitorial or cleaning experience
