KENNEL TECHS / DOG TRAINERS
At Advanced Canine Development, We Train People & Play With Dogs. Do you know dogs—or do you just love dogs? Advanced Canine Development is a growing professional dog training and behavior modification company looking for experienced Kennel Techs / Dog Trainers to join our team. We work with puppies, obedience, advanced obedience, off-leash training, board & train, service/therapy dogs, and behavior modification. We're looking for experienced professionals who are confident handling dogs, understand canine behavior, take pride in their work, and can perform at a high standard without constant supervision.
THE POSITION
Your responsibilities will include: Daily care, feeding, exercise, walking, and supervision of client dogs Executing established training programs and assisting trainers Handling dogs of various breeds, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels Taking dogs into real-world environments such as stores, parks, and public locations Practicing obedience and appropriate behaviors throughout the day Recognizing canine body language and behavioral changes Maintaining training and care records Preparing training areas and equipment Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe facility Professional communication with clients and staff. Assisting with client demonstrations and handoffs. Being proactive with dogs, equipment, and facility sanitation & responsibilities.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Professional dog-handling or training experience is required.
The ideal candidate has:
Strong canine handling skills and knowledge of dog behavior Experience with obedience training and/or behavior modification. Confidence handling challenging and high-energy dogs. Excellent work ethic, reliability, and punctuality. Strong attention to detail. Ability to follow training protocols and work independently. Professional communication and customer-service skills. Reliable transportation. Basic computer and documentation skills. Availability for evenings and weekends as needed. Dog-training certification is a plus. Experience in professional dog training, boarding, daycare, veterinary, service-dog, working-dog, or grooming and animal-care environments is strongly preferred.

There will be cleaning, physical work, difficult dogs, and busy hot days. We want people who take pride in doing the job right—not simply getting through the day.
COMPENSATION
Starting at $16/hour to $30 an hour, based on experience and qualifications. Opportunities for increased responsibility and advancement are available based on performance.
