Job Description

Overview Experienced Professional Dog Trainer - 1099 Contractor AK9A Alan's K9 Academy is growing throughout North Metro Atlanta and is seeking experienced professional dog trainers to join our team as independent contractors. This is not an entry-level trainer opportunity. We are looking for trainers who are already comfortable handling real-world client cases and want to build a strong schedule within an established and growing dog-training company. What You'll Do Provide private, in-home dog training throughout an assigned geographic service area Work with intermediate and advanced obedience Train and proof dogs in real-world environments and around distractions Work toward reliable off-leash obedience when appropriate Address behavioral concerns including reactivity, anxiety, fear and aggression within the trainer's demonstrated skill level Educate owners and teach them how to successfully continue training between sessions Maintain professional communication and client-service standards What We're Looking For Prior professional dog-training experience required Strong understanding of canine behavior and body language Experience with intermediate and advanced obedience Behavior-modification experience strongly preferred Balanced-training experience preferred, including appropriate use of training tools Strong people skills and ability to coach dog owners Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to clients Ability to work independently and manage a geographically organized schedule Professional, dependable and committed to continuing education Willingness to learn and work within AK9A training standards Compensation & Schedule $45-$75 per completed training session, based on experience, qualifications and demonstrated training ability Experienced trainers with an established schedule may conduct approximately 3-4 sessions per day Flexible scheduling Client assignments are organized geographically whenever possible Professional development and continuing training opportunities 1099 independent contractor opportunity Session volume is based on client demand and availability and is not guaranteed Service Area We are particularly interested in trainers positioned around Marietta, East Cobb, Roswell, Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, Woodstock/Southern Cherokee and surrounding North Metro Atlanta communities. AK9A Alan's K9 Academy is an established, growing professional dog-training company serving families throughout North Metro Atlanta. Pay:
$35,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
