AM Dog Care Lodging Specialist Where dogs feel at home—even when they're not Are you the kind of person who notices the little things… the dog who needs a slower approach, the one who thrives on play, or the one who just wants a quiet moment and a soft voice? We're looking for someone who doesn't just "work with dogs"—but truly shows up for them . At Howliday Inn, our lodging team plays a huge role in each dog's experience. From a clean, comfortable space to meaningful enrichment and attentive care, this position is about creating a stay that feels safe, structured, and genuinely enjoyable. If you're detail-oriented, dependable, and love being part of a team that takes pride in doing things the right way—you'll fit right in. What Your Day Looks Like Keeping lodging spaces clean, fresh, and comfortable for every guest Preparing meals, refreshing water, and administering medications as directed Leading enrichment activities or supervising group play (depending on your shift) Observing dogs closely for health, behavior, and overall well-being Following individualized care instructions for each pup Helping communicate updates so pet parents feel confident and at ease
Schedule Morning Shift:
6:00 AM - 12:30 PM (Shift timing depends on the number of dogs in our care) What We're Looking For Experience in animal care (pet sitting, daycare, boarding, etc.) A solid understanding of dog behavior and group dynamics Confidence handling dogs of all sizes with calm, compassionate energy Strong time management—you can stay on track even when things get busy A team-first mindset, with the ability to also work independently Clear communication—you ask questions, speak up, and stay connected
Bonus Points:
Experience or certification in veterinary assistance or professional animal handling (may increase starting pay) Why This Role Matters This isn't just about getting tasks done. It's about being part of the reason a dog settles in, feels safe, and has a positive experience away from home. The work is active, sometimes fast-paced, and always meaningful. If you're ready to be part of a team that takes pride in doing things well—and giving dogs the care they deserve—we'd love to meet you.
