Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Dog Day Care Trainer, where your passion for animals and enthusiasm for training come together to create a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for our canine clients. In this role, you will be responsible for providing effective training, ensuring proper handling and care, and helping dogs develop good behavior and social skills. Your energetic approach will foster a fun atmosphere that promotes pet well-being while supporting pet owners with expert advice and exceptional customer service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of dogs and their owners every day. Responsibilities Conduct engaging training sessions focused on obedience, socialization, and behavioral improvement Handle dogs safely and confidently, ensuring proper restraint and comfort during activities Monitor dog interactions to prevent conflicts and promote healthy socialization in group settings Assist with basic animal care, maintenance grooming tasks, and basic first aid tasks as needed to support overall animal well-being Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing heavy lifting of supplies or equipment and ensuring proper kennel sanitation Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding training progress, behavior concerns, and care instructions Qualifications Experience in dog training or animal handling, with a strong understanding of canine behavior management is highly desirable Background in veterinary technician, kennel work, doggy day care or, dog training roles is highly desirable Knowledge of pet grooming, pet care, and animal care best practices Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle multiple dogs simultaneously in a busy environment Familiarity with animal handling techniques and safety protocols for handling various dog breeds Passionate about animal welfare with a proactive attitude toward continuous learning in pet care and training techniques

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
