Arden, NC Pay:
$14/hour + tips Do you love dogs, enjoy staying active, and thrive in a fast-paced environment? Camp Bow Wow South Asheville is looking for a dependable, energetic, and compassionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll help create a safe, clean, and fun environment where dogs can play, socialize, and receive exceptional care. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, works well under pressure, and is passionate about animal care. Responsibilities Supervise dogs during group play and ensure safe interactions among dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments Monitor dog behavior, energy levels, and overall well-being; recognize signs of stress, illness, or unsafe behavior and report concerns promptly Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, including cleaning play areas, kennels, feeding areas, and common spaces Assist with feeding, cleaning, and general daily care routines Support safe handling and movement of dogs throughout the facility Provide excellent customer service to pet parents during drop-off and pick-up when needed Follow company procedures and safety protocols to maintain a positive environment for dogs and staff Work collaboratively with team members to support daily operations Qualifications Previous experience in dog daycare, kennel work, pet sitting, boarding facilities, veterinary settings, or animal handling is preferred but not required Comfortable working around dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to remain active throughout shifts, including standing, walking, bending, cleaning, and lifting when necessary Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team Positive attitude with a genuine passion for animal care and safety Important Position Expectations This is a physically active role — not a desk job. Team members spend most of the shift on their feet in a fast-paced environment. Camp Bow Wow operates 365 days a year , and employees are expected to have availability for weekends and holidays .
