Duties Provide reliable dog walking services, ensuring pets receive proper exercise and mental stimulation Offer pet sitting in clients' homes, including feeding, administering medications, and maintaining routines Engage in outdoor activities such as playtime, training exercises, and leash handling to promote healthy behavior Monitor pet behavior and provide animal restraint when necessary to ensure safety for pets and handlers Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pet's needs, behaviors, and any concerns during visits Assist with overnight in-home care for pets occasionally Requirements Prior experience with dog training, animal handling, or veterinary-related roles is highly desirable Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician/assistant experience is a plus Flexible scheduling with the ability to work overnights and some holidays as needed. Familiarity with animal behavior, pet exercise routines, and pet care best practices Ability to handle various animals including dogs, cats, and possibly pocket pets or birds. Comfortable performing outdoor work in different weather conditions and ability to handle larger breed dogs. Excellent client communication skills to build trust and rapport with pet owners Strong sense of responsibility with the ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols Valid driver's license and reliable transportation between client locations Service area: South Jersey (Camden, Gloucester, Burlington county) This role is perfect for energetic animal lovers eager to make a difference in pets' lives while gaining hands-on experience in animal care.
