SoFetch is a brand-new, upscale dog boarding, daycare, and grooming facility in Amsterdam, NY. We're focused on creating a clean, safe, and elevated experience for both pets and their owners.
Positions Available:
Kennel Attendant (Entry Level) Kennel Manager (Experienced) We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and animal-loving individual to join our team as a Kennel Assistant. The ideal candidate is responsible, detail-oriented, and passionate about animal care.
Responsibilities:
Feed and water all dogs according to instructions Clean and sanitize kennels, bowls, and common areas Let dogs out for potty breaks and playtime Administer basic medications if needed (training provided) Monitor health and behavior of dogs and report any concerns Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility Interact with dogs in a gentle and respectful manner Assist with dog baths, nail trims, and light grooming (if needed)
Qualifications:
Prior experience with dogs or in a kennel setting preferred but not required Comfortable working with dogs of all breeds and sizes Ability to follow instructions and work independently Punctual, dependable, and hardworking Able to work weekends and holidays as needed
Schedule:
Morning, evening, weekends, and holidays required Flexible scheduling (but reliability is a must)
Kennel Attendant Responsibilities:
Cleaning kennels and facility daily Feeding and watering dogs Taking dogs in/out for potty and exercise Monitoring dog behavior and safety Laundry (bedding, towels) General facility upkeep Kennel Manager Responsibilities (in addition to above): Overseeing daily operations Managing staff schedules and tasks Ensuring cleaning protocols are followed Handling client communication when needed Maintaining organization and structure
Requirements:
Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments Able to handle physical work (cleaning, lifting, being on your feet) Reliable, punctual, and hard-working Not afraid to get dirty (this is hands-on work)
