We provide on-the-job training and you'll have the opportunity for advancement within the company on various tracks. Job Duties Supervise dogs off-leash during group play time, making sure all dogs are comfortable and playing nicely with each other Train big dogs to play appropriately indoors Train dogs in basic commands, sit, stay, etc. Monitor all pets for health, safety and well-being Take dogs for daily training walks Feed and clean up after dogs & cats Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for pets and humans Create and keep records on each pet's behavior, health, and training progress Required Skills Compassion and patience with animals Ability to read dog behaviors and communicate with them Know how to approach and handle dogs and cats Comfortable using computers to input data Good communication skills with co-workers Basic customer interaction skills Required Experience 1 year experience of professional pet care, i.e. dog walking, pet sitting 3 years experience working with animals generally, i.e. volunteer at a shelter
