As a professional dog trainer with our team, you will be teaching classes, and private lessons. Hours will vary, but please be available evenings and weekends. We are looking for someone with experience in group classes and private training. We expect our trainers to be motivated to find their niche in dog training and to create advancements in their path at High Expectations through education and class creation. We are looking for someone to join our team who will understand our vision, mission, and purpose of providing an excellent dog training experience. You will work independently teaching our well established group classes. However you must be a positive team member that works well with others. Working together creates the success in dog training that High Expectations is known for. Depending on experience and accreditations, we are looking for approximately 25 hours per week to start with opportunity for a full-time as you grow with us.

Requirements:

Group class instructor experience Previous experience using positive training methods Certification requirement must be up to date.

One of these certifications:

CPDT-KA, CPDT-KSA,CBCC-KA, IAABC, other certifications will be reviewed on application. Clear understanding of how dogs learn Must be knowledgeable in group play and dog body language

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaching classes such as: puppy, puppy social, manners, advanced manners skills classes, CGC classes, outdoor classes, and fun classes Class development Be able to create individualized training plans that fit a dogs and clients needs in our private training sessions. Communicate with the team to ensure the training plan follows protocols and aligns with our positive training. Reliable, Punctual, and Professional Must have great communication skills with people. Have a love for working with people and have effective teaching skills. Have empathy to a pet parents needs. Be able to understand the pet parent, where they are at in their training process, to improve their relationship with their dog. Communicate kindly with pet parents and all staff members.
