Pawtrol Officer (Dog Trainer)

Job Description

The Lead Pawtrol Officer oversees dogs in our recreational play spaces and sets the standard for safety, structure, and cleanliness. With experience in dog daycare or group play environments, this role ensures that dogs are monitored responsibly, play remains healthy, and the space stays clean and inviting. You'll be trusted to guide our team, support daily operations, and help shape the guest experience at Fetch. We are looking for someone to fill weekday morning shifts as well as every other weekend. Dog Safety & Supervision Maintain constant awareness of dog behavior, body language, and play dynamics Prevent unsafe interactions and step in confidently when redirection is needed Manage group sizes and temperaments to ensure compatibility Follow and uphold all safety protocols and emergency procedures Recreational Area Leadership Set the tone for positive, structured, and enriching play Guide less experienced staff on handling techniques and safety expectations Conduct dog introductions and evaluations Monitor the flow of dogs in and out of the rec area Cleanliness & Facility Care Keep the play areas clean, sanitized, and odor-free throughout the day Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and hygienic condition Ensure proper cleanup of accidents and messes quickly and thoroughly Assist with end-of-day cleaning duties to keep the space ready for the next shift Communication & Team Support Communicate behavior notes, concerns, and observations to the management team and owners Work collaboratively with front desk staff to ensure smooth transitions Provide guidance and support to teammates during busy or challenging moments Help maintain a calm, positive environment for both dogs and coworkers You're a Good Fit If… You have professional experience in dog daycare or group play environments (will train the right candidate) You understand canine body language and behavior You stay calm under pressure and can confidently manage multiple dogs at once You prioritize safety first and cleanliness second You enjoy being active, hands-on, and part of a hard-working team You are over 18 years old

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
