PART-TIME COSMETOLOGY INSTRUCTOR
Are you a licensed cosmetology professional who is passionate about sharing your expertise and helping students build successful careers in the beauty industry? Highland Community College is seeking a Part-Time Cosmetology Instructor to join our team for the Spring 2027 semester. This part-time position is scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m .
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach cosmetology students in both classroom and hands-on salon learning environments.
- Deliver instruction that supports student mastery of cosmetology theory, techniques, safety practices, and professional standards.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support learning and skill development.
- Prepare students for industry success by integrating current cosmetology practices and trends into instruction.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes student achievement.
What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience:
- Current Illinois Cosmetology License required.
- Current Cosmetology Teaching Credential required.
- Willingness and ability to teach the cosmetology courses offered by the college.
- Previous cosmetology teaching experience preferred.
- Prior salon experience preferred.
