In this role, you will be the go-to expert for hair styling, coloring, and grooming, providing exceptional service that leaves clients feeling confident and beautiful. Responsibilities Deliver expert hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, updos, and special occasion styles that meet each client's unique vision. Perform hair coloring techniques such as highlights, balayage, and full color treatments using advanced color theory principles. Apply hair extensions and utilize various hair care products to enhance texture, volume, and overall look. Conduct consultations to understand client preferences, recommend suitable styles or treatments, and ensure satisfaction. Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools like scissors, razors (including straight razors), and brushes while adhering to health regulations. Operate salon software systems for scheduling appointments, managing client records, and processing transactions efficiently. Upsell retail products including hair care items, styling tools, and makeup applications to enhance client experience and salon revenue. Collaborate with team members to mentor new stylists and foster a positive, supportive work environment. Manage store operations effectively through store management skills while maintaining excellent customer service at all times. Experience Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a cosmetologist or barber with a strong portfolio of diverse styling techniques. Proficiency in hair coloring techniques such as Balayage and highlights. Extensive knowledge of techniques, hair care products, and current trends in hair styling and fashion. Skilled in hair extensions application, hair threading, makeup application (a plus but not required) Strong communication skills to engage clients effectively, understand their needs, and provide personalized recommendations Familiarity with sanitation protocols specific to cosmetology practices including sterilization of tools like straight razors. Ability to perform retail math for upselling products confidently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
