As a Beautician, you will provide beauty services to individuals receiving services, which may include:  Providing beauty services to individuals, including hair, nail and/or skin care services.  Determining the desired hair style based on the individuals' instructions, prescribed style standards, hair type and/or facial features.  Combing and brushing hair using detangling and styling tools.  Shampooing, rinsing and conditioning hair with water, liquid hair products and other solutions. In addition, using towels and hair dryers to dry the hair and scalp.  Assessing hair styles and types to determine what care is necessary to ensure health and growth.  Shaves, trims, shapes and/or removes facial hair, such as mustaches, beards and eyebrows, using tweezers, razors and other relevant solutions.  May apply lotions, serums and powders to the face, neck and hair to prepare, cleanse and condition individuals' skin and scalp.  Applies water, setting, straightening or waving solutions. Uses curlers, rollers, hot combs, straighteners or curling irons to set, straighten and curl hair.  Sterilizes and cleans beauty instruments and tools; and may sharpen, lubricate and make minor repairs to ensure proper maintenance.  Monitors supply levels, and orders and stocks beauty supplies.  Dusts and cleans work areas, which will include sweeping and disposing of hair clippings and other garbage.  Remain current on all mandated and applicable specialized trainings.  All other duties as assigned.

Pay:

$40,391.00 - $49,743.00 per year
