Job Description

Hello! Azalea Bodycare is hiring a part-time team member to help keep our front desk, treatment rooms, and day-to-day operations running smoothly. We are looking for a new teammate with intention of staying with us as we continue to grow. We are a locally owned massage therapy and skincare practice in Eugene. Our environment is calm and welcoming, but we are also a busy therapeutic practice that works with private pay clients, health insurance, and motor vehicle collision cases. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys both people facing work and practical, behind-the-scenes tasks. The person in this role will be one of the first people our clients interact with and will work closely with our massage therapists, esthetician, and front desk team. Schedule We are looking for someone who can make a consistent commitment to the following weekly schedule:
Sunday:
10:00 AM-6:30
PM Monday:
3:00 PM-8:30
PM Tuesday:
8:30 AM-1:30
PM Thursday:
8:30 AM-3:00 PM Availability for the entire schedule above is required. These are not shifts where we can routinely adjust the start or end time. There may also be opportunities to pick up additional hours when other team members are on vacation or when coverage is needed. A Typical Shift There is a lot of variety in this position. You might start the day by helping prepare the building, greet a client, answer a phone call, schedule an appointment, help a therapist, and then spend some time catching up on laundry and restocking supplies. Some of the regular responsibilities include: Welcoming clients and helping them feel comfortable when they arrive and leave Checking clients in and out Scheduling, rescheduling, and modifying appointments in Jane Answering phones and responding to client emails Helping clients with questions about appointments, services, policies, and general information Communicating with therapists and the esthetician throughout the day Keeping the front desk and common areas clean, organized, and welcoming Washing, drying, folding, and putting away a significant amount of laundry Keeping treatment rooms and supplies stocked Noticing when supplies are running low and communicating what needs to be ordered Helping with opening and closing tasks Using Google Drive, documents, spreadsheets, and other basic computer programs Taking care of small tasks throughout the building that help the day run smoothly This is an active position. There will be periods at the computer and front desk, but there will also be plenty of time spent moving around the building, folding laundry, cleaning, stocking, and assisting the team. Who Will Do Well Here The right person doesn't need to know everything on day one. We can teach our systems. What matters most is that you are dependable, comfortable with people, and able to take responsibility for your work. We're looking for someone who: Has at least one year of front desk, reception, or comparable customer-facing administrative experience Communicates clearly and treats people with genuine warmth and respect Can remain composed when several things are happening at once Pays attention to details and follows through Is comfortable switching between different tasks throughout a shift Can work independently without needing constant direction Notices what needs attention and takes care of it Is comfortable learning new software and technology Can type, enter information accurately, and work with basic spreadsheets Is comfortable using Google Drive and similar tools Is willing to perform physical support tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and stocking Maintains a professional appearance and follows our dress and appearance standards Understands the importance of privacy, confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism Experience using Jane scheduling software is a significant advantage. Experience in a medical office, health insurance, billing, or another healthcare-related setting is also helpful. What Matters to Us Our clients are guests in our home, and the front desk plays a big role in creating that experience. We want our clients to feel welcomed and taken care of, while our therapists need to know that the person at the front desk is paying attention and has their back. That means this position requires both excellent customer service and good judgment. Sometimes the front desk will be busy. Sometimes a therapist will need help. Sometimes the laundry needs to be done even though there are other things happening. We are looking for someone who can assess what needs attention, prioritize, and keep moving without becoming overwhelmed. Being a good teammate is important here. We value people who communicate well, respect one another, and take ownership of their responsibilities.
