What We Expect Job Summary The Care Team Department plays a crucial role in being the hands and feet of the ministry of Simpson Funeral Home. Beyond all else, a dedication to serving families through some of life's most difficult moments is absolutely paramount. The ideal candidate will have a background in serving in law enforcement and/or hospitals and nursing homes. This position involves the transfer of the deceased in accordance with expert care and handling, and operating restricted crematory equipment in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable law. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Duties Interact positively and effectively with employees and our client families Assist care team operations, pickups, deliveries, transfers and accurate logging as needed Plan and coordinate cremation schedules Ensure that all procedures are followed consistently and efficiently, with care, compassion and respect Maintain a professional attire and care for self Engage with our facility staff in an expert fashion. Keep all equipment clean, picked up and in accordance with our standards Contribute positively to our culture of ministry to others in times of need. Other duties as assigned. Skills Strong interpersonal skills with experience in working with teams. Self-starter, able to perceive needs before being asked Familiarity with post-mortem care Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing outstanding service. Be able to lift, with the assistance of equipment and personnel, frequently, in excess of 100lbs.
