Job Description

Position Summary:
The Kennel Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the dog kennels, cat ward and facility, providing food and medication to all pets, and managing pet rotations. This role involves interacting with clients by bringing dogs to and from daycare and boarding and adhering to company policies and procedures, with the safety of people and animals as the top priority. Essential Functions of the
Job:
Disinfect and clean kennels regularly. Maintain the facility to ensure healthy and hygienic conditions for both animals and humans. Perform routine cleaning of kennels, turf yards, bathrooms, laundry room, break room, training room, storage room, fire room, and hydro room. Launder and dry bedding.
Pet Care:
Provide food and medication to all pets as required. Manage pet rotations and ensure their well-being. Administer bath services as needed. Discharge and admit animals, ensuring accurate record-keeping for all intake and checkout pets.
Client Interaction:
Interact with clients by bringing dogs to and from daycare and boarding. Follow company services and protocols, ensuring client satisfaction and safety.
Team Collaboration:
Work well with the entire team, being a proactive and supportive team player. Contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment.
Facility and Turf Care:
Maintain and care for the turf and kennel areas, ensuring they are in optimal condition at all times.
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols. A passion for animal's wellbeing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team environment. Physically capable of performing cleaning and maintenance tasks. Experience in a kennel or animal care environment is preferred.
Additional Information:
This position may require weekend and holiday work. The Kennel Technician will report directly to the Kennel Manager and work closely with other team members to ensure the well-being of all animals and the smooth operation of the facility.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$17.50 - $19.00 per hour
