Job Description We are working on behalf of a well-established, multi-doctor small animal general practice in Marcellus, NY, in the Finger Lakes region of Central New York, that is looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its team. The practice has served its community for over 35 years and places a strong emphasis on preventive and wellness care, backed by a solid diagnostic and treatment setup including digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, an IDEXX in-house lab, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, PRP, pain management, integrative medicine, and oxygen cages. A mobile internal medicine service visits weekly for advanced procedures such as full ultrasound, endoscopy, rhinoscopy, and cystoscopy, and several emergency and specialty hospitals are within 60 miles. The caseload is roughly 64% canine, 35% feline, and a small number of pocket pets. You will be backed by a 2:1 staff-to-doctor ratio, with five licensed technicians, two assistants, and three CSRs. The schedule is built around real life outside of work: the last appointment of the day is at 5:30 pm, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call. The team is close-knit and open to new service ideas, so there is genuine room to shape the medicine you practice.
