Monday through Thursday, flexible scheduling Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail oriented, and experienced laundry and household organization professional to assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and well cared for home. This position is primarily focused on laundry care for a household of 2 to 4 people, closet organization, and light tidying of common areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail, understands proper garment care, and is proactive about maintaining an orderly home. Light tidying of the home will be required while laundry is being done. Family may also need help on holidays for cleaning of the home and dishes as needed If this person desires extra work. Primary Responsibilities Laundry Care & Organization Complete weekly laundry for 2 to 4 household members, including washing, drying, folding, hanging, and putting away clothing. Properly sort laundry by color, fabric type, and garment care instructions. Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate washing temperatures, detergents, and drying methods to protect clothing. Fold and hang garments neatly and consistently. Return all clean laundry to its designated location. Maintain organized closets and clothing storage areas. Remove and consolidate unused hangers to keep closets tidy and free of clutter. Leave the laundry room clean, organized, and fully reset after each visit. Light Household Tidying Wipe down and clean kitchen countertops. Sweep the kitchen and common foyer areas. Wipe down and freshen countertops in all bathrooms. Lightly tidy and straighten common living areas to maintain an orderly appearance. Return items to their designated locations and maintain existing household organization systems. If scheduled on a Tuesday, assistance bringing in the trash bins is appreciated. Ideal Candidate Previous experience with professional laundry care, housekeeping, or household organization. Strong understanding of proper garment care and laundry separation. Highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented. Able to work independently and complete tasks without extensive supervision. Respectful of personal belongings and household privacy. Consistent, dependable, and proactive in identifying areas that need attention. Ability to help on holidays in the kitchen with cleaning up large family dinners and meal (this is a plus not a must). Schedule & Commitment This is a recurring position one day per week, typically requiring approximately 4 hours per visit. We prefer availability Monday through Thursday and can offer flexibility in selecting a consistent weekly day. We are looking for someone interested in a long term position who takes genuine pride in keeping a home beautifully maintained and organized.
