Job Description
Holiday Inn Express is looking to add additional staff members to our current friendly and amazing team!
Position Available:
Laundry Attendant & Shuttle Driver Must have previous laundry attendant experience & a valid drivers license. Physical Requirements- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull and move objects.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.
- Ability to do your job without guidance and assistance from others. General Requirements
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
- Maintain good personal appearance at all times; wear proper uniform and name tag as prescribed by the hotel.
- Comprehend and abide by all traffic regulations.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with our Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and fellow employees.
- Understand operation of washing machines and dryers.
- Load and unload washes according to standards.
- Sort all hotel linen according to type, color, size, etc.
- Pre-treat all stained linen before washing.
- Clean dryer filter daily and maintain all equipment as trained.
- Sweep and mop laundry floors, storing all linens off the floor.
- Fold towels and linens.
- Remove and sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts.
- Keep laundry carts clean and free of debris.
- Maintain clean work area.
- Load and transport guest luggage cart for guests arriving and departing. Provide storage for guest luggage if necessary.
- Assist with luggage-handling process for group arrivals and departures
- Maintain clean appearance of vehicle
- Report vehicle incidents immediately
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
