The Laundry Attendant is responsible for properly operating and maintaining commercial washers, and dryers to ensure a constant supply of clean linens for the Hotel. The Laundry Attendant must work with the highest standards of efficiency, attention to detail, and accuracy to deliver stain free, tear/snag free, and clean linen to our housekeeping department. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive and sort soiled linen into appropriate bins/containers Identify soiled, stained, and damaged items to determine status for repair, spot treatment, pre-treat, or discard Process soiled linen utilizing washers, dryers, ensuring the finished product is inspected and meets quality standards set by Hotel. Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, and place in clean linen carts Set dryer to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in load Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, and drain trap after each load Fold cleaned articles into designated size Maintain accurate records of items laundered or discarded Deliver folded linen to designated storage areas Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition Notify Supervisor/Manager of malfunctioning equipment, supplies needed, damaged linens, to ensure laundry operation is running at maximum efficiency level. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manage Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets Speak with others using clear and professional language Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and fellow management team members. Perform all reasonable job duties as requested.
