About Us:
SEMCOA's (Southeast Massachusetts Council on Advocacy) mission is to advocate for and provide support to individuals, families, and communities in the areas of substance use, mental illness, domestic violence, homelessness, and parenting. SEMCOA operates four emergency assistance congregate family shelters and additional scattered sites that provide supportive services to families and assist them with securing permanent housing. SEMCOA also provides residential recovery home treatment to individuals with substance use disorders, as well as transitional and permanent housing stability and support programs. Our portfolio also includes two graduate sober houses, the Family Preservation Program, as well as Greater Brockton and Greater Attleboro Taunton Healthy Families programs.

Laundry Attendant Requirements:
Must present as courteous and professional at all times. Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion. Must have the ability to work independently and with others in cooperative and collaborative manner. An understanding of boundaries and ethics. Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Substance Abuse Confidentiality Regulations and HIPAA Regulations. Certification in the HPAO approved de-escalation program. Position requires physical ability to load and unload machines and lift up to fifty-pound bags of linens. Ability to stand for 3-5 hours. Ability to load/unload commercial machines up to 80 pounds.
Laundry Attendant Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate record of all linens entering and leaving the facility; Wash, dry, fold, count, and separate incoming linens; Package outgoing linens in appropriate, color-coded bags; Complete orders in a timely manner; Maintain cleanliness of tables, floors, baskets; Follow safety guidelines/procedures as established in Laundry Operations Manual; Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Laundry Attendant Qualifications:
