This position is responsible for ensuring that all hotel linens, towels, bedding, and other laundry items are properly washed, dried, folded, organized, and ready for use by the housekeeping department. We are looking for someone who understands that all assigned duties must be completed before the end of the scheduled shift . Reliability, attendance, cleanliness, and attention to detail are extremely important in this position. Job Responsibilities Wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel towels, sheets, pillowcases, blankets, comforters, and other linens. Sort laundry by type, color, and washing requirements. Properly load and operate commercial washers and dryers. Use the correct amount of detergent, bleach, softener, and other laundry chemicals according to hotel procedures. Inspect linens and towels for stains, damage, excessive wear, or other issues. Rewash stained items when necessary. Remove damaged or unusable linens from circulation and notify management. Fold and stack linens neatly according to hotel standards. Maintain an adequate supply of clean linens for housekeeping throughout the shift. Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and free of unnecessary clutter. Clean lint traps, machines, work tables, floors, carts, and laundry equipment as required. Keep laundry carts clean and organized. Assist housekeeping staff with linen distribution when needed. Maintain proper inventory and notify management when supplies are running low. Follow all safety procedures when handling chemicals and operating laundry equipment. Immediately report equipment problems, leaks, safety concerns, or maintenance issues to management. Follow hotel cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times. Assist with additional housekeeping or hotel-related duties when assigned by management. Completion of Duties Employees are expected to complete all assigned laundry and cleaning responsibilities during their scheduled shift . The laundry area should not be left with excessive unfinished laundry, dirty work areas, overflowing carts, or incomplete assigned tasks unless specifically approved by management. Before leaving at the end of the shift, the Laundry Attendant is responsible for making sure: Assigned laundry has been completed. Clean linens are folded and properly stored. Laundry machines are cleared. Lint traps are cleaned. Laundry carts are organized. Floors and work areas are clean. Chemicals and supplies are properly stored. Any unfinished work or equipment issues have been reported to management. Employees should not leave their shift without notifying management if assigned responsibilities have not been completed. Qualifications Hotel laundry, housekeeping, or commercial laundry experience is preferred but not required. Must be dependable and report to scheduled shifts on time. Must be able to work independently and remain productive throughout the shift. Must be able to follow instructions and hotel procedures. Must have strong attention to detail. Must be able to work at a consistent pace in a fast-moving hotel environment. Must be able to communicate professionally with management and other employees. Must be willing to assist in other areas when necessary. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.

Applicants must be able to:

Stand for extended periods of time. Bend and reach repeatedly throughout the shift. Push and pull loaded laundry carts. Lift and carry laundry, linens, and supplies. Work around commercial laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals. Perform repetitive folding and sorting duties. Attendance & Reliability Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Employees are expected to arrive on time, remain for their entire scheduled shift, and notify management according to hotel procedures if they are unable to report to work.
