A clean hospital is an important part of great patient care. At Brooklyn Park Pet Hospital , excellent veterinary care depends on more than our doctors, technicians, assistants, and equipment. It also depends on having someone who helps make sure our hospital is clean, safe, organized, and welcoming for every pet and person who walks through our doors. We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Veterinary Clinic Cleaner & Laundry Assistant who takes pride in leaving a space better than they found it. Between muddy paws, mountains of laundry, pet hair, and the occasional puppy puddle, there is always something to tackle—and the work you do will make a noticeable difference for our patients, clients, and team. What You'll Do Your main responsibility will be helping keep both our clinical and non-clinical areas clean, sanitary, organized, and ready for use.

Responsibilities may include:

Keep laundry moving by washing, drying, folding, and restocking towels, blankets, and other hospital linens. Clean and disinfect exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, procedure areas, and other clinical spaces. Clean and maintain our lobby, hallways, offices, break room, restrooms, and shared spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and maintain floors throughout the hospital. Empty trash and recycling and replace liners as needed. Clean glass, doors, fixtures, furniture, counters, and high-touch surfaces. Restock linens, paper products, cleaning supplies, and other designated items. Follow scheduled deep-cleaning routines for walls, baseboards, vents, fixtures, corners, and those easy-to-miss areas. Carefully clean around medical equipment and return items to their proper places. Help keep entrances and outdoor areas free of litter and pet waste. Assist with light snow shoveling and salting around entrances during Minnesota winters. Monitor cleaning and laundry supplies and let management know when items need to be reordered. Report maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns when you notice them. Follow hospital cleaning, disinfecting, safety, and infection-control protocols. You Might Be Our Person If You… Find genuine satisfaction in a freshly mopped floor and a neatly folded stack of towels. Notice the fingerprints on the glass, the corner everyone else missed, or the floor that could use one more pass. Take pride in doing thorough, consistent work. Are reliable, dependable, and able to work independently without someone constantly checking in. Can prioritize tasks and recognize what needs attention first. Are comfortable working around animals and busy veterinary teams. Can safely work around medical equipment and clinical spaces. Are comfortable with cleaning chemicals and following established safety procedures. Don't mind the fur, smells, noise, bodily fluids, and unexpected messes that sometimes come with working in veterinary medicine. Are comfortable with active work that includes standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying laundry or supplies, and being on your feet for much of your shift. Previous custodial, housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, hotel, veterinary, or commercial cleaning experience is helpful, but we are happy to train the right person. A Few Important Things to Know This is a veterinary hospital, so you will be working around dogs, cats, medical equipment, and an active healthcare team. While you'll certainly see plenty of adorable patients, this is not primarily an animal-care position. Your role is focused on helping maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment for the pets in our care, their families, and our team. $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
