Job Description

KP Staffing Hickory is now hiring sorters for a company in Hickory, NC! Job Summary KP Staffing is seeking dependable and hardworking sorters for a company that processes laundry and linens for medical facilities. Employees will sort, inspect, and handle incoming laundry to ensure items are properly separated and prepared for washing and processing. Pay $13 per hour Shift 1st shift: 6:00 AM

Saturday (5-day work week) Duties Sort incoming laundry, linens, towels, gowns, and other medical textiles according to type, condition, and processing requirements.

Separate soiled laundry and identify items requiring special handling. Inspect linens for stains, damage, or items that need additional processing. Load and unload laundry carts, bins, and sorting equipment. Follow company procedures for handling soiled linens and maintaining proper hygiene. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions. Follow all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Meet daily production goals while maintaining accuracy and quality. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to push, and pull laundry bags, carts, and bins as required by the position. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Dependable attendance and a positive attitude.
