SUMMARY:
We are seeking friendly and service-oriented laundry attendants to join the team at our boutique hotel, New Paltz Way Hotel. As a laundry attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring guestroom and common area linens are impeccably cleaned, and foster a positive guest experience.
KEY AREAS OF FOCUS
Operate commercial washers, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently. Wash, dry, fold, and organize bed linens, towels, bathrobes, and other hotel laundry according to hotel standards. Inspect linens for stains, damage, or excessive wear and remove unsuitable items from service. Sort laundry by color, fabric, and washing requirements. Maintain adequate inventory levels of clean linens for housekeeping operations. Deliver clean linens and towels to housekeeping storage areas as needed. Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and sanitized at all times. Monitor laundry supplies and notify management when detergent, chemicals, or other supplies need replenishment. Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment. Assist housekeeping with room cleaning or public area cleaning during slower laundry periods, as needed. Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards promptly. Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and guest confidentiality standards. Maintain housekeeping caddies, supplies, and storage areas in an organized manner Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
SPECIFIC TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Previous housekeeping. laundry or cleaning experience preferred (hotel experience a plus) Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a small team Physical ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods Friendly and professional demeanor Sundays are
MANDATORY.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
SUCCESS INDICATORS
Daily presentation of the accommodations and properties as a whole Minimal guest complaints related to rooms, grounds and property cleanliness
