Duties Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to ensure proper laundering of textiles. Handle laundry materials with care, including sorting, folding, and organizing linens, clothing, and other textiles. Use push carts and other materials handling tools to transport laundry safely throughout the facility. Follow safety protocols during all manual handling tasks, heavy lifting, and operation of machinery to prevent injuries. Maintain sanitation standards by properly using laundry detergents and cleaning agents while adhering to safety standards in production. Assist with general cleaning tasks in laundry areas to ensure a safe and organized environment. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests for laundry services and ensuring garments are returned clean and well-cared for. Experience Prior experience in cleaning or laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and the use of push carts. Basic math skills for measuring detergents and managing laundry loads efficiently. Knowledge of sanitation practices, safety standards in production environments, and textile cleaning techniques such as dry cleaning is advantageous. Familiarity with garment care machines like industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and garment care. Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset to meet residents' needs effectively.
