LAUNDRY ATTENDANT
Laundry Attendants are responsible for processing soiled linen on a daily basis. Responsible for maintaining the laundry in a clean and orderly state. Responsible for supervision and control of the housekeeping department and related sanitation functions.
Requirements include:
- Provides the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
- Sorts linen (terry, sheets, pillowcases, etc.).
- Weighs linen and loads in washer.
- Pre-treats stained linen and terry before re-washing. Retires all damaged and untreatable linens.
- Loads dryers.
- Knows how to operate the washers and dryers.
- Maintains productivity standards.
- Removes linen immediately from dryers to prevent wrinkles.
- Folds linen according to proper standards. Sheets should be folded double lengthwise, king sheets into squares, and terry as requested.
- Processes meeting room linen and stacks uniformly in designated storage area.
- Places folded linen on marked shelves and transport to linen storage rooms on each floor in a timely fashion.
- Maintains a well organized, neat laundry room.
- Other duties as assigned.
