The position is part time hours in laundry, 3 days a week, friday, saturday and sunday. If want extra hours could pick up 2 days a week in houskeeping rooms. This laundry position typically has a set schedule of Wed - Sun, but also needs a little flexibility to cover other days a few times a year when our other laundry person is out on vacation.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the washing, drying and folding of all linen and terry for the entire hotel. Ensure that all items are processed according to standards. Follow all standard operating procedures and flow patterns of product.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Impress Guests. Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times. 2. Maintain a clean, pleasant and professional image to the guest and wear the proper uniform at all times. 3. Keep work area and supply closets clean and organized. 4. Remove and sort soiled linen and terry items 5. Wash items according to laundry standards using appropriate chemicals. 6. Dry and fold items according to Express/Hilton/Choice/Marriott standards. 7. Follow all OSHA requirements at all times. 8. Ensure all items are examined and spot treated. 9. Complete any special cleaning projects as assigned. 10. Make sure lint traps are cleaned and emptied on a daily basis. 11. Ensure supply closets are fully stocked with linens and terry products. 12. Communicate with the housekeeping department to ensure that product demands are met. 13. Read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) 14. Full understanding of all hazardous waste and blood borne pathogens. 15. Provide assistance to other team members to contribute to the smooth operation of the department and the hotel. 16. Perform all duties as required and other tasks as assigned while following good housekeeping habits and safe work practices. 17. Communicate with manager on any equipment maintenance needs.
