Job Description

As a Production Associate , you play a vital role in the healthcare laundry process by helping process, inspect, sort, wash, and prepare linens used by hospitals and healthcare providers throughout the region. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment where safety, quality, and reliability are essential. Successful team members are dependable, safety-conscious, and take pride in performing meaningful work that directly supports patient care. Production Associates may be assigned to various departments based on operational needs, including both Soil Processing and Clean Production areas.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Production Associates may be assigned to one or more positions throughout the production process, including: Soil Processing Employees in the Soil Processing Department help prepare soiled healthcare linens for washing and sanitation.
Responsibilities may include:
Dumpers Remove bags of soiled linen from carts and place contents onto conveyor systems Maintain continuous workflow throughout the sorting process Help minimize production delays Breakers Separate tangled or knotted linen on conveyor systems Sort designated products into appropriate collection carts Maintain efficient product flow Sorters Identify and sort linen into designated carts Ensure proper product separation Maintain sorting accuracy and production efficiency Scalers Transport filled carts to weighing stations Verify required cart weights Move weighed carts to the next production stage Replace full carts with empty carts Loaders Load sorted linen into industrial wash systems Select appropriate wash programs Prepare linen for tunnel washer processing Maintain production standards throughout the wash process Clean Production Employees in Clean Production inspect, process, fold, package, and prepare clean linens for customer delivery.
Responsibilities may include:
Feeders Feed linens into automated ironing equipment Position items to minimize wrinkles and ensure proper processing Perform the first level of quality inspection Checkers Inspect linens as they exit ironing equipment Ensure finished products meet HCSA quality standards Communicate quality concerns to team members Stack, strap, and package linen bundles for shipment Folders Fold a variety of healthcare linens, including sheets, gowns, towels, blankets, scrubs, and other products Inspect linens for quality during the folding process Prepare finished products for packaging and shipment Qualifications Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, grasp, and move linen as part of normal job duties Ability to push and pull wheeled linen carts requiring up to 50 pounds of force Ability to visually inspect linen for quality standards Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work effectively in a team environment Physical Requirements Standing and walking for extended periods Frequent reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting, and bending Repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the shift Manual dexterity to grasp, feed, fold, stack, and inspect linen Ability to safely work around industrial laundry equipment Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times Work Environment Industrial healthcare laundry facility Fast-paced and physically active production environment Moderate industrial noise levels Positions may involve exposure to soiled healthcare linens while wearing required PPE Safety-focused, team-oriented workplace

Pay:
