About Us:

The Blushing Cow Waxing Studio is a multi-award winning full-body waxing studio in Ocala, FL, also offering brow lamination and tinting. We're built around exceptional service, genuine client relationships, and a team that takes real ownership of their numbers. We run without a dedicated front desk, so this role blends hands-on service with front-of-studio operations — we're looking for a driven Wax and Brow Specialist ready to own both.

Responsibilities:

Service Excellence:

Perform waxing services and brow lamination/tinting to the studio's technique, protocol, and sanitation standards on every client, every visit.

Client Relations:

Greet every client warmly, put nervous or first-time clients at ease, and represent the studio's brand in every interaction.

Front-of-Studio Operations:

Since we run without a dedicated front desk, manage client check-in and check-out through our booking software, respond to client texts and calls, and keep the day's schedule on track.

Sales and Retail:

Recommend retail products naturally based on what each client actually needs, and ask for the rebook on every visit.

Studio Maintenance:

Keep treatment rooms and the studio clean, organized, sanitized, and stocked throughout the day; complete opening or closing duties as scheduled.

Inventory Awareness:

Notice when supplies are running low and flag it for reorder.

Team Collaboration:

Support teammates, maintain client confidentiality, and uphold the studio's brand values at all times.

Performance Expectations:

Retail attach rate: 30% Rebooking rate: 70%

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Valid, active Florida cosmetology or specialty license (Cosmetologist, Full Specialist, or Facial Specialist). Experience in waxing and brow lamination/tinting across a range of services. Must be comfortable performing male Brazilian waxing services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, professional manner with clients. Comfort working independently in a studio without a dedicated front desk — managing your own client flow and basic administrative tasks throughout your shift. Strong sales instincts and the confidence to recommend retail and ask for the rebook without being prompted. Must be able to work every other Saturday. Must be able to open and close the studio, and perform weekly cleaning checklists and inventory counts. Minimum of 2 reels per week to post on social media. Reliability and punctuality. Comfort learning studio software for scheduling, checkout, and client messaging (training provided).

Schedule:

Part-time, with opportunity to grow into more hours. Tuesday 3pm-7pm Friday 2pm-6pm Every other Saturday 9am-2pm

Note:

shift times run 30 minutes before and 30-45 minutes after the bookable hours shown, to allow for opening prep and closing cleanup.
