Job Summary We are seeking a talented and energetic Theatrical/FX Makeup Artist to bring creativity, precision, and passion to our dynamic team. In this role, you will craft stunning makeup looks especially for the Halloween season as we book our clients. After halloween you could be on call for theatrical productions, film, television, special events, and photo shoots. Your expertise will transform characters, enhance storytelling, and elevate visual experiences through innovative makeup techniques. Duties Design and apply character makeup, prosthetics, and special effects to bring fictional characters and concepts to life with accuracy and flair Execute bridal makeup applications with attention to detail, ensuring long-lasting beauty for special occasions Style hair for various events, including special occasions and photo shoots, utilizing advanced hair styling techniques Apply eyelash extensions, body waxing, dermabrasion, and other beauty treatments to enhance client appearance while maintaining high sanitation standards Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, provide professional recommendations, and ensure satisfaction through clear communication Manage time effectively to handle multiple appointments or projects efficiently without compromising quality Upsell additional services or retail products by demonstrating their benefits and building rapport with clients Experience Proven experience working as a makeup artist within the beauty industry or related fields such as theater, film, or fashion Skilled in character makeup creation using prosthetic effects and color theory principles Familiarity with eyelash extensions, body waxing, skin preparation (dermabrasion), and sanitation protocols Excellent communication skills for client consultations and team collaboration Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship Experience in photography and retail sales is a plus for capturing portfolio images and promoting products or services Join us if you're passionate about transforming faces into works of art!
