Paid training provided Job Overview Muse Nails & Spa is seeking an experienced, reliable, and customer-focused Nail Salon Receptionist to join our modern nail salon in Yucaipa. The ideal candidate has at least one year of nail salon receptionist experience, communicates confidently with customers, and can manage front desk responsibilities in a busy environment. Spanish communication skills are strongly preferred, and conversational Spanish will be considered. We are looking for someone punctual, organized, proactive, receptive to feedback, and interested in a long-term position. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service. Answer phone calls, respond to messages, and schedule appointments. Check customers in and out and process payments through the salon POS system. Assist with appointment confirmations and reminders. Explain services and pricing and help customers select services. Consult management when technician availability is unclear. Handle routine customer questions and refer major complaints or sensitive issues to management. Maintain a clean, organized front desk and perform light cleaning in the reception area. Assist with opening and closing procedures and follow salon SOPs. Perform other reasonable salon-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications At least 1 year of nail salon receptionist experience. Strong English communication skills. Comfortable using computers, appointment booking systems, and POS systems. Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to multitask. Friendly, professional, and comfortable communicating with customers. Willing to learn salon services, ask questions, accept feedback, and take initiative. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a Vietnamese nail salon. Fluent or conversational Spanish, especially the ability to help Spanish-speaking customers communicate with nail technicians. Vietnamese language skills. Additional customer service experience. Work Expectations Communicate promptly about lateness, absences, or scheduling conflicts. Give advance notice of planned time off whenever possible. Obtain management approval before offering discounts, processing refunds, or making exceptions to salon policy. Refer major complaints, injury-related concerns, and other serious issues to management. Do not independently change technician schedules or availability. Keep cleaning duties limited to light cleaning and maintaining the reception area. Compensation & Benefits Starting pay of $17 per hour. Paid training. Part-time schedule of approximately 15-20 hours per week. Opportunities for future pay increases based on performance and growth. Receptionist tips are not included in this position.
