Responsibilities Provide a wide range of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic and nail extension applications, and nail care consultations. Perform advanced treatments such as nail art design, color theory application, and esthetic laser treatments when applicable. Maintain strict adherence to salon safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients and staff. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable services, and upsell retail products to enhance their experience. Keep detailed records of client treatments, preferences, and any special instructions for future appointments. Stay updated on current trends in nail art, techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing education. Assist with retail sales of nail products, tools, and beauty accessories to support the salon's revenue goals. Skills Strong knowledge of color theory, nail extensions, gel manicures, acrylic application, and manicure techniques. Proficiency in sanitation procedures including disinfection procedures for tools and workstations. Experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on nail care services. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients. Familiarity with salon safety protocols and proper disinfection practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Ability to perform esthetic laser treatments, body waxing, hair styling, eyelash extensions, hair threading, and other related beauty services as needed. Retail sales skills combined with retail math knowledge to maximize product upselling opportunities. Knowledge of cosmetology principles including skin health (dermabrasion), nail care maintenance, and esthetic treatments such as laser therapy or dermabrasion techniques.
