International Orange is a wellness-based day spa offering massage and skin care. Our spa features an extensive retail shop offering luxurious skincare, body care, and carefully selected gifts. We are a locally-owned business in the Marin Country Mart and have been recognized by Marin Magazine for Best Spa in the County in 2019 and 2022. We are looking for a gracious, hardworking, and upbeat Lead Spa Coordinator to join our team. This position embodies the "brand" of International Orange (io), as you are the first and last point of contact the client has during their visit. There are two primary functions of this role. The first is to model the role of Spa Coordinator by promoting the services and products of io at the front end, while ushering the clients through an amazing experience throughout their visit. The second is to directly assist the Spa Manager in areas including, but not limited to: Model behaviors and responsibilities of the Spa Coordinator position. Act as the Manager On Duty when the Spa Manager is not on site. Address issues and follow up with clients. Handle emergency changes to practitioner appointment schedules by finding alternative coverage, prioritizing bookings, contacting clients, and resolving any related issues. Check booked appointments for schedule maximization and booking errors. Delegate daily tasks and chores to the Spa Coordinator team. Train and shadow newly hired Spa Coordinators with support of Spa Manager.

Embody Spa Coordinator Responsibilities:

Engage Clients in a friendly and welcoming manner. Answer Phones during business hours. Book appointments accurately and efficiently utilizing complex reservation software. Communicate io's brand of services and products on an expert level. Mediate and resolve client issues. Usher clients through their process, ensuring delivery of five star standards. Process all paperwork with 100% accuracy. Drive io revenue through selling retail products and upgraded and add-on services. Receive shipments and restock shop displays. Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks as necessary. Housekeeping, including putting away laundry, restocking towels, ensuring locker rooms are clean and clear and the waiting lounge area is impeccable.

REQUIREMENTS

Full time availability: Tuesday-Saturday for day time and evening shifts 3-5 years in customer service. Experience in the spa industry or related hospitality industry experience preferred. Candidates with professional administrative experience are also encouraged to apply. Willing to memorize and understand treatment modalities for massage and skincare. Work with people in a positive team atmosphere. Display strong interpersonal and communication skills. Have a thorough knowledge of computer and scheduling systems. Strong sales skills in retail. A master at multitasking and organization, and understand that excellence is in the details. Fluent in English. Can stand for 8 hours a day and lift up to 25 pounds.
